Natural Dye

Susan is passionate about the ancient art of natural dye. She has taken an in-depth course in natural dye from the Mawa School of Textiles in Canada and has read extensively about the ins and outs of transferring vibrant colors onto natural fabrics using pigments from plants, roots, tree bark and even insects. She has been enjoying her studio for a few years now and is ready to share her vast knowledge with you. Susan is also a former sustainable agriculture teacher and incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in the art of seeding, tending and harvesting the plants she uses for pigment. Her workshops will include a horticultural component. Susan is actively working on the structure and format of her natural dye workshops and will be announcing dates, times and cost soon! Send Susan and email and let her know you are interested in attending!
